Armed with the Val Gardena card, our key to the kingdom, we ascended the rugged heights of Mount Seceda via cable car. As the clouds embraced us at the summit, we marveled at the raw, untamed beauty of the landscape, feeling the thrill of adventure coursing through our veins.
Day 2: Sella Pass and Beyond - A Tapestry of Peaks and Passes
Rising early, we embarked on a bus journey to Sella Pass, an experience that took us through winding roads and lush valleys. The vertical cable car from Sella Pass to Sassolungo revealed panoramas that defied imagination – an amphitheater of ancient rocks and sweeping vistas. Our journey continued with a pilgrimage to Gardena Pass and a mesmerizing ride on the Dantercëpies cable car. Leaving behind Ortisei was bittersweet, but Alpe di Siusi awaited. The Airbnb near the Bernina Express track provided a front-row seat to the spectacle of passing trains, reminding us of man's harmonious dance with nature.

From Tirano to Chur in Switzerland passing through wild and romantic valleys, alongside awe-inspiring glaciers, and even lush palm trees: a trip on the Bernina Express through the Alps is a journey of contrasts. As we traversed breathtaking viaducts and tunnels, the landscape unfolded like a canvas painted by the gods themselves. From Chur, our homeward journey was a reminder that all good things must come to an end, but the memories of the Dolomites would forever be etched in our hearts.
